York House is an elderly care home in the picturesque market town of Dereham, Norfolk. York House can accommodate up to 43 residents and has been rated ‘Good’ by The Care Quality Commission.
York House has a warm and cozy atmosphere, and is always full of laughter. We are proud to offer elderly people in Dereham and surrounding areas a safe place to call home, where they can get any extra support they require. Our staff are proud to provide person-centred care and put the needs of our residents first at all times.
The home benefits from a spacious mature garden which blooms beautifully in the summer, and is situated only a short distance from Dereham town centre. Dereham is a charming town with many independent businesses and attractions including; a swimming pool, squash court, golf club, a three screen cinema and a range of highstreet shops, banks and doctors surgeries.
Dereham has excellent road and bus links, with the option to travel to the nearby ‘City of Stories’ Norwich, or the nearby towns of Fakenham and Kings Lynn.
It’s important to us to support our residents to lead independent lives and play an active part in their own self-care, we believe in dignity, privacy and choice within our care homes. We work within their home, they do not live within our workplace.
