Drummonds is a residential care facility for adults with physical and/or learning disabilities in the charming village of Feering, between Colchester and Witham. The home can accommodate up to 41 residents with a focus on dignity, independence and person-centred care.
The home benefits from a ground floor design with full accessibility to the courtyards and grassy gardens surrounding the home, as well as a mobility friendly pool allowing for hydrotherapy treatments. The hallways of the home are wide to allow for wheelchair use and the home has a large activities room complete with kitchen, arts and crafts facilities, and sports hall.
The home also has a sensory room with light, texture, and sound activities to provide a therapeutic space for our residents. Drummonds also features a large cinema with projector screen, which our residents can use to their hearts content, featuring a large collection of movies which are always being added too.
The home has a communal lounge, in-house bar, dining room and courtyard gardens with fish pond and chicken coup where our residents can help care for the animals.
At the heart of everything we do is the aim to provide person-centred care packages tailored to each of our residents. They are brilliant and unique individuals who deserve to be treated with compassion, respect, and kindness whilst being supported to achieve their goals in life.
