The Lodge is located on Kirby Road in Walton-on-the-Naze, with 36 rooms, providing support for residents, including those living with Dementia.
The accommodation is split across two floors; a lift allows access to all floors for the residents to use. On the ground floor, the home has a communal lounge, beautifully presented dining room and bathroom facilities. Similar spaces are available on the first floor, allowing for multiple spaces for residents to spend their time, take part in activities and enjoy their day.
Our person-centred care approach enables us to focus on our residents’ preferences and choices. Healthy, nutritious meals are provided, and a busy activities schedule provides them with lots of different things to do. Regular entertainment takes place at the home which is available for everyone who wishes to be involved.
There are large, enclosed gardens to the to the side and rear of the property, ensuring privacy and comfort for our residents. The home is close to the beach at Walton-on-the-Naze, so the home has access to all local amenities and is close to local public transport routes allowing our residents to explore the local region.

My mother was extremely anti-care home and desperately did not want to leave her own home. However, unable to safely look after herself, care was the only option. At The Lodge, she has found a home from home. She has nothing but praise for the staff, loves the facilities and bed in her room, and enjoys the food. She has made friends and enjoys more social contact now than when she lived on her own. From my point of view - the staff are friendly, caring and lovely, and have kept us updated on all the Covid changes, restrictions and developments as well as my mother's health - communication has been excellent; the rooms are spotless, and so are Mum's clothes; Covid and normal security are reassuring. We had heard good reports about The Lodge before she went there, and they were all true. It's reassuring to know she is happy, safe and being well cared for. - Steve G
My Aunt is very happy living at The Lodge. The staff are both caring and professional and the Home is run to a very high standard. Throughout the past year, under such challenging circumstances, they have continued to provide a safe environment for both residents and staff. They telephone each week with an update on my Aunt's general health and well being as I am vulnerable myself and unable to visit at the present time. - Penny G
