To celebrate the opening of Westfield House and mark World Autism Awareness Week, Black Swan Care Group have chosen to support Norwich based The Hamlet Charity (previously The Hamlet Centre Trust) as official sponsors throughout 2016 and together the pair will deliver a week of specialist training workshops to care professionals from across East Anglia.

At Black Swan Care Group we will be raising funds for The Hamlet Charity across all our Homes, staff and residents shall be organising tea parties, raffles and challenge events in order to raise as much money as possible. In addition to our fundraising efforts we have also made an introductory donation to The Hamlet and will act as an official sponsor for the Trust throughout the 2016/17 financial year.

In May each of our 13 Homes will be taking part in The Hamlet’s ‘Create-a-Stir’ Tea Party Month which calls for supporters of the organisation to Hold a Tea Party or Bake sale during May 2016 for friends, family, colleagues and/or customers in order to raise money for their incredibly worthy cause.

The Hamlet charity have a very specific and specialist set of skills and knowledge that their in-house trainers are now able to deliver to other care professionals. The training workshops will allow us here at Westfield House to deliver a truly pioneering and innovative solution for individuals making a first step into a more independent life in the community.’

The Hamlet, established in 1972, is a Norfolk charity, which supports children and adults with disabilities, complex health needs and difficult behaviours.  Their vision is to provide an environment that overcomes the challenges of disabilities and provides opportunities to unlock potential.
