Our residents at Park House in Great Yarmouth have created pieces of art to show what the home means to them – and as a company we are touched by their art which is a testament to the atmosphere our amazing staff try to create.

Residents have been taking part in lots of creative endeavours since lockdown began, from drawing and painting, to colouring rocks for decorations, and they’ve even been doing project on the theme of home.

We wanted to know how our residents were feeling in the home, as we’re well aware the lockdown situation will have effected them – and we wanted to know how they felt about being in our care at a time when they have been unable to see their nearest and dearest.

We also wanted to make this activity fun so we encouraged our residents to be completely honest, and decorate rocks to use as decorations which sum up how they feel about living within Park House. They included words such as; home, safe, and supported which is how we want our residents to feel.

They’ve created some beautiful displays in the home, and have also created pieces to be shown to our Little Visitors from Friend in Deed to maintain their relationships throughout lockdown. Here are some of the lovely things they’ve been making during lockdown, as a park of the Black Swan family.
