Residents of Nightingale Lodge Care Home enjoy royal experience at Sandringham Estate!

Our wonderful residents at Nightingale Lodge in Hunstanton were over the moon to be treated like true royalty in their recent outing to Sandringham Estate, taking in the amazing sights of the grounds and gardens as well as visiting the amazing house itself!

They enjoyed a fabulous picnic with delicious foods provided by our fantastic kitchen team, as well as enjoying refreshments in the beautiful café and having a wonderful time soaking in the sun in the stunning grounds of the estate.

Being so close to this wonderful area of beauty and culture is such a benefit to our residents, being a calm and relaxing place to visit to enjoy the history of this significant landmark.

The royal family are a poignant part of British culture, and have had a significant impact on the lives of our residents with memories of the Queen’s Coronation; VE Day and royal weddings brimming to the surface.

We asked our residents what the day meant to them:

“We had such a lovely day with a very tasty picnic, and I loved looking around the Queen’s gardens!” – Shirley

“The flowers were beautiful and we saw so many dogs which I loved” – Maureen

“A joy of a day! And some wonderful items in the gift shop” – Susie

“The food was yummy! Watching the children frolicking at play, dogs aplenty! All this to make a perfect day!” – Christine

We are over the moon to know that this trip brought so much joy to our amazing resident group and we wanted to extend our sincerest thanks to the amazing team at Nightingale Lodge Care Home who go above and beyond in their roles everyday to ensure our residents have wonderful experiences like this every day.

As our wonderful resident Joy said;

“It was an absolute pleasure, when can we go again?”.
