Our homes have been supporting Mental Health Awareness Week this week – encouraging residents and staff to think about mental health and to support the work of the Mental Health Foundation.
The theme for the week is Anxiety. Homes looked at how anxiety is a normal emotion in us all, but sometimes it can get out of control and become a mental health problem.
By focusing on anxiety for this year's Mental Health Awareness Week, we raised awareness and understanding of anxiety by providing information on the things that can help prevent it from becoming a problem.
Homes took part in Wear It Green days and also got crafty, making green paper ribbons to wear – some found it easier than others!
There is lots of information about Mental Health Awareness Week and anxiety on the Mental Health Foundation website.
