Happy New Year from Black Swan Care Group

As we reach the end of 2025, its a time to proudly reflect on the year that's gone by and to look forward to 2026 and all that it will offer.

We continue to support nearly 700 residents in our care homes and employ almost 1,000 carers, domestic staff, maintenance teams, kitchen staff, home managers and admin support roles.

All our homes continue to be fully compliant with the Care Quality Commission, having either good or outstanding ratings. Where local authorities have visited for PAMMS quality assurance inspections, these have been recognised as Good in all homes. We have received a number of awards for our quality of care and customer excellence and our kitchen teams have excelled in Food Standards Agency inspections. We continue to be recognised by carehome.co.uk as one of the Top 20 care home Groups in the country.

As a group, we have grown. We now own 24 care homes - with 2 new additions in 2025. When they open, this will bring the number of people we are able to support to nearly 800 across East Anglia.

Taverham Grove on the outskirts of Norwich has been fully renovated and we will be welcoming our first residents in the first week of January 2026. The home supports people living with dementia, and we are very excited to be able to offer this increasingly needed care in the Norwich area.

We also acquired Bungay Manor in the market town of Bungay, on the Suffolk / Norfolk border. The home had been closed for 3 years and requires significant renovation to create a 40 bedded care home to support older people in the North Suffolk community. We hope to be welcoming new residents in the autumn of 2026.

We are also launching our Homecare service. Initially this will be open to people living in the Norwich area. Our home carers will support people with their personal care, medication support, domestic help, companionship and mobility assistance in the comfort of their own home.

We will once again be recognising the cream of the Black Swan Care Group crop when we hold our company awards in October 2026. Nominations will open soon!

So, thank you 2025, for all that you gave us. Thank you to each and every one of our staff team who continue to offer care, companionship, support, kindness and love to our residents. Thank you to the families and friends of our residents for your supportive and encouraging compliments and thank you to the wider health and care professionals who visit our homes.
