Tamzin Dougal - Park House deputy manager - wins prestigious national apprenticeship award.
Throughout the last twelve months Tamzin has proved herself as a worthy trainee deputy manager at Park House. She goes above and beyond every day and is always willing to push the boundaries to provide person-centred care to our residents.
Tamzin has been named Connect 2 Care's Extra Mile Apprentice of the Year out of thousands of potential winners. It means the world to us to see Tamzin's amazing efforts recognised in this way, after seeing how hard she has worked throughout her apprenticeship.
She has not only dealt with the extra stress of working in social care throughout the Coronavirus pandemic, but was also commended by Connect2Care for overcoming personal health struggles to make this momentous achievement.
When asked what the award meant to her, Tamzin told us:
"It means a lot to know that other people see and appreciate the work I've done within the last 12 months.
"It means a lot to me that my tutor nominated me.
"We may be a smaller care home but the wider company has been so supportive of me throughout my apprenticeship. even in my personal life and I really appreciate that".
Park House Registered Manager Sara Pearce is incredibly proud of Tamzin's achievement.
Sara describes Tamzin as a bright personality who always comes to work with a smile on her face and always gives 100% and has built strong bonds with residents in the home.
"Tamzin is an incredibly deserving winner and I'm so proud to have her as part of our team".
Tamzin is now in with a chance of being named the Ultimate Apprentice of the Year in the upcoming Connect 2 Care digital awards ceremony in September 2021.
We would ask all of our staff, residents, residents friends and family and the wider community to please vote for this amazing lady to win this penultimate award.
