Black Swan homes raise £650 for Macmillan Cancer Support

Our care homes across East Anglia have raised over £650 for Macmillan Cancer Support on their annual Macmillan Cofee Morning on Friday 26th September. 

Homes held coffee mornings with staff and residents enjoying home baked cakes, biscuits, sponges and many more confectionery goodies. Other homes did tea-tasting, sampling different teas from around the world. Most homes welcomed familes and friends of residents and staff as well as friends from their local area, emphasising the bond between the homes and their local community.

Macmillan Cancer Support provided free 'party packs' including bunting, table cloths, collection pots plus quizzes and games for all to enjoy. Many staff dressed in green in support of the charity's renowned colour.

The fantastic cause also brought up conversations about how we've all known and loved someone who has had cancer and experienced the support of the Macmillan team.

Money continues to come in at some of the homes, so the final total could well exceed £700!
