You may find it surprising that a number of elderly residents are really intrigued by tattoos, and although we don’t have any tattoo artists in our staff group – we made sure to give them the next best thing.

The team set up a pop-up tattoo parlour featuring lots of different designs for our residents to choose from.  Staff held consultations with our residents, allowing them to look through the booklets and wall displays of the various designs – just like a real tattoo parlour!

Once our residents had chosen their design they were applied by our staff to our residents skin, before our residents happily showed them off to one another and modelled their new looks.

We think this is a truly unique experience to have in a care home, and we’re incredibly proud of our staff for thinking so outside the box to provide our residents with an experience that they can’t experience outside of the home right now.
