Our residents haven’t been to a coffee shop or a public house for quite some time now, and we hate to think of them missing out on anything they enjoy – so staff at Park House in Great Yarmouth brought the outside in!

The maintenance team created a custom bar in the home, with menus and price tags (displaying £0) for our residents to feel like they’re going somewhere new and different.

Park House manager Sara Pearce and her staff team acted as barmaids and served drinks to our residents at their request.  Our first customer on launch night was our amazing resident Michael, who was overjoyed to be able to get hold of his favourite merlot.

We think it’s important to do as much as we can to ensure our residents aren’t missing out on unique experiences due to the restrictions in place due to the coronavirus pandemic.

We will continue to try and emulate their favourite experiences at every opportunity, as well as offering unique experiences which they may never have had before – such as staff turning the home into a tattoo studio recently.

Our residents are at the heart of everything we do, and we are incredibly proud of our staff for always going above and beyond to put smiles on their faces, and provide the highest possible levels of person-centred care.
