Sensory CinemaWe asked residents and staff at both Belamacanda and Mid Meadows to come up with suggestions for the things they felt would improve the service and care delivered in the Homes. Several residents said they would like a cinema and new computers, staff identified a need for provision that would allow them to promote independence and life skills and said they felt residents would benefit from a ‘chill out’ or ‘sensory’ room.

In response to these requests, we can proudly introduce our new sensory studio (with cinema and computers) at Belamacanda. This new provision will support our staff in the delivery of an exceptional programme of activities and the studio is also available to the residents at Mid Meadows.
