Black Swan Care Group are celebrating their second care home in the region being rated as Outstanding by the regulator the Care Quality Commission. Chiswick House on Christchurch Road joined another Black Swan home, The Beeches in East Harling as being the only two residential care homes without nursing to be given this accolade. Mariana Condruz the manager of Chiswick House said ‘This is fantastic news, all we try and do is our best for our residents. They are like family to me.’

The CQC report for Chiswick House rated the home Outstanding overall as well as in the Caring and Well-led categories. Inspectors of the home said ‘People and their relatives couldn’t speak highly enough about the consistently kind and compassionate care.’ Relatives said ‘The home exudes a warmth, compassion and you immediately feel welcome.’

Another Black Swan care home, Heathcote on Unthank Road, also had their report published this month and was also rated Outstanding in the Caring category. It was reported that a healthcare professional said that they would be happy for one of their relatives to live at the home.
